Rachel Podger - “the unsurpassed British glory of the baroque violin” (The Times) - has established herself as one of the wortld's leading interpreters of music from the Baroque and Classical periods. She was the first woman to be awarded the prestigious Royal Academy of Music/Kohn Foundation Bach Prize and was Gramophone's Artist of the Year in 2018. Part of a long-awaited visit to Wells in which she combines teaching and performing, Rachel's Cedars Hall debut showcases a unique programme of music by Bach, Tartini and other 18th century masterpieces for solo violin.
